Virtual Researcher on Call - Jeff Orchard

Jeff Orchard, Associate Professor in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, sat down with Researcher on Call to discuss his research on theoretical and computational neuroscience in an episode of Science Scoop.

Orchard's research aims to uncover mechanisms that underlie the computational and organizational aspects of the brain.  For example, how oscillations are used, and how different brain regions coordinate to perform computations.

Computer Science student awarded national co-op prize

Henry Shi, a 3A Computer Science student, has been awarded both a co-op student of the year award from the University of Waterloo and one of two national awards from the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education.
