PhD Candidate Awarded Best Student Paper at 16th International Symposium on Stabilization, Safety, and Security of Distributed Systems

David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science PhD candidate, Fathiyeh Faghih (Borzoo Bonakdarpour), has been awarded the best student paper for her work on "SMT-based Synthesis of Distributed Self-stabilizing Protocols", at the 16th International Symposium on Stabilization, Safety, and Security of Distributed Systems (SSS '14), in Paderborn, Germany.

SSS is an international forum for researchers and practitioners in the design and development of distributed systems and is one of the prime venues for distributed algorithms with special focus on self-stabilization.
