Grossman was honoured for her contributions to the legal profession alongside 27 of her peers at “Celebrating 10 Years of WiE & Women Who Have Pioneered eDiscovery.”
The celebratory event held on August 16 was attended by some 150 e-discovery experts, leaders and professionals, and was convened as part of ILTACON 2017, a premier educational and networking conference for the legal sector held this summer in Las Vegas.
“Maura has made fundamental contributions by applying machine learning techniques to electronic discovery in legal proceedings,” said Mark Giesbrecht, Director of the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science. “It’s wonderful to see her exceptional work recognized by her peers in the legal field at an international level.”
In addition to being a research professor in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, Grossman is principal of Maura Grossman Law, an eDiscovery law and consulting firm based in New York City.
