CS Professor Craig Kaplan's research was featured in a column hosted by The Guardian titled "Alex's Adventures in Numberland", this week.
Kaplan is known for rediscovering the parquet deformation (a regular pattern of tiles that transforms as you go from left to right whilst maintaining the regularity of the tiling) and has created a number of illustrations that connect mathematics and art.
