Student Portal Hackathon

We invite students with different technical backgrounds and skill levels to come together to build cool, informative widgets in the student portal. We'll have developers from the team, mentors, and resources onsite to help you, plenty of food and drinks... there's really no better way to spend a Saturday on campus!

Upper Year Course Information Session

Students are invited to attend an information session relating to choosing their upper year courses, hosted by Director of Undergraduate Studies, Professor Charlie Clarke. 

Students will hear: 

  • Information on all fourth-year and optional third-year courses.
  • Differences among courses 
  • Advice on preparation for upper-year specialization (e.g. what courses to choose to prepare for graphics, AI)

Refreshments will be provided.

A recent paper on sexist behaviour in video games was widely reported in the media as showing that men who play poorly are more obnoxious to female players, though that was not the major finding of the actual paper.
