Undergraduate Research Opportunities Conference (UROC) applications now closed

Thursday, July 14, 2016
The David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo is hosting its second annual Undergraduate Research Opportunities Conference (UROC) this coming fall. Following enthusiastic demand from last year, the School is extending this year’s workshop to a 4-day, fully funded event. The conference offers students the opportunity to explore research through a series of group-work sessions by tackling a mini project alongside a professor. Social events and panels will give attendees the chance to connect with current graduate students, faculty members and industry leaders to find out more about the benefits of graduate studies.

The conference will take place September 29 – October 2, 2016 at the University of Waterloo and is open to all undergraduate students in the third or fourth year of their program. Participation is selective and decisions will be made by end of August.
