Stippling — the use of dots in drawings — is a technique I’ve been experimenting with lately. I’ll talk about extensions I’ve made to my art software to handle stippling, plus lightly covering relevant research, especially methods based on using Lloyd’s method to “relax” dot positions. At the end I’ll review Capacity-Constrained Voronoi Tessellation, whose method (a variant on Lloyd’s method) I’ve most recently been trying.
