CS/FINE 383 is a third-year studio course where students work in an interdisciplinary environment to combine computer science principles with fine art technical and conceptual skills. Experience novel computational art works and aesthetic experiences using generative agents, advanced computer vision, distributed computing, and more.
Where is the Computational Art Exhibition?
The fine arts building (East Campus Hall or ECH) and the flex space within it where the exhibit is held are a little hard to find. ECH, a two-story building just behind E3 and beside E6, is less than a five-minute walk from the Davis Centre.
The easiest way to find the “Flex Space” (ECH 1237) is to enter at the University of Waterloo Art Gallery entrance, then go straight to the end, left, then immediate right past lockers. Here’s a map pin to the University of Waterloo Art Gallery entrance in ECH.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to see and experience the computational art works, some samples of which are below.
