The Waterloo Computer Museum is hosting a hardware day at which a number of older computers will be on display and running.

The event also features presentations by Cheriton School of Computer Science Professor Gregor Richards and Steven A. Garan, a Waterloo alumnus and the Director of Bioinformatics at the Center for Research & Education on Aging.

Schedule

  • 10 a.m. — Doors open, people can be working on equipment
  • 11 a.m. — Talk by Gregor Richards: “Unearthed or Exhumed? Obscure Computing and Gaming Trash and/or Treasure”
  • 2 p.m. — Talk by Steve Garan: “How Silicon Valley became Silicon Valley”
  • 4 p.m. — Wrap-up
