Local ACM-style programming contest

The next Waterloo-local Association for Computing Machinery style programming contest will be held on Saturday, June 24 in MC 3003. All members of the Waterloo community are invited to try their programming skill in Scheme, C, C++, Java, Pascal, Python, or Scala.

A trio of computer science students from the University of Waterloo were among the top programmers from 128 universities across six continents invited to battle it out in Rapid City, South Dakota on May 24, 2017 at the 41^st Annual ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) World Finals.

The deadline to apply for spring term entry for our graduate studies programs — both master's and PhD — is October 1, 2017.

Computer Science URA appreciation

Faculty and Computer Science Undergraduate Research Assistants (URAs) are invited to participate in the inaugural URA appreciation event hosted by the Graduate Recruitment Committee.

This reception is for students and faculty to come together to share their research ideas, showcase projects and discover additional educational opportunities.

Appetizers and refreshments will be included.
