Main Menu Summary

The System page displays the main menu for the web interface, including the following items:

Web Group Description
Switch Contains general information, as well as basic system functions for IP address configuration, management access configuration, firmware upgrade, saving or restoring the system configuration, and resetting the system
Ports Provides functions for port configuration, trunk configuration, broadcast storm control, and port mirroring
Address Table Includes configuration for static addresses, displaying the dynamic address table, and setting the address aging time
Spanning Tree Configures the Spanning Tree Protocol for the overall bridge, specific ports, or individual trunks
VLAN Assigns VLAN members through static configuration, configures individual port and trunk settings for VLAN operations
Class of Service Assigns default priority for individual ports or trunks, and maps 802.1p priority tags to the priority queues
Link Aggregation Configures static links
SNMP

Assigns SNMP community access strings and trap managers

Multicast Support Configures the IGMP multicast parameters, assigns ports to specific multicast groups, and identifies ports attached to known multicast routers
Statistics Displays statistics in chart or table form for common interface counters

Switch Menu

Web Pages Description
General Provides access the following pages -
  Asset Displays descriptive information about the switch, and allows you to enter contact information for the system administrator
  Versions Displays hardware and firmware version numbers
  Logs Displays logged system and event messages
IP Address Configures IP settings, and specifies the management VLAN
Security Configures user names and passwords for management access
Firmware Displays version information for boot code and operation code; also allows you download operation code from a TFTP server, or specify which operation file loaded on the system to use
Configuration Allows you to save or restore switch configuration settings
Reset Reboots the switch

Ports Menu

Web Pages Description
Port Configuration Enables/disables a port, sets communication parameters for a port, or assigns a port to a trunk
Trunk Configuration Enables/disables a trunk, or sets communication parameters for a trunk
Broadcast Control Enables/disables broadcast storm control, or sets the threshold for selected ports
Port Mirroring Configures mirroring for selected port pair

Address Table Menu

Web Pages Description
Static Addresses Assigns static physical address to a port or trunk, and specifies the associated VLAN
Dynamic Addresses Displays the dynamic address table, with options to display the addresses associated with a specific port, trunk or VLAN
Address Aging Specifies the time after which entries are aged out of the address table

Spanning Tree Menu

Web Pages Description
Bridge Settings
Configures STP settings globally for the switch, including enable/disable, priority, hello time, maximum age, and forward delay
Port Settings Configures STP settings for ports, including priority, cost, and fast link
Trunk Settings Configures STP settings for trunks, including priority, cost, and fast link

VLAN Menu

Web Pages Description
VLAN Membership Creates VLAN groups, adds port/trunk members, and specifies member type as untagged, tagged or forbidden
Port Settings Specifies VLAN parameters for specific ports, including PVID, acceptable frame type, ingress filtering, GVRP status, and GARP timers
Trunk Settings Specifies VLAN parameters for specific trunks, including PVID, acceptable frame type, ingress filtering, GVRP status, and GARP timers

Class-of-Service Menu

Web Pages Description
Port Settings Sets the default priority for each port
Trunk Settings Sets the default priority for each trunk
Traffic Classes Maps IEEE 802.1p priority tags to the switch’s traffic class queues

Link Aggregation Menu

SNMP Menu

Communities Creates community strings with associates access privileges
Traps Specifies management stations that will receive authentication failure messages and other trap messages from the switch

Multicast Support Menu

Web Pages Description
IGMP Setting Configures global IGMP settings, including enable/disable, act as querier, query count, query interval, report delay, query timeout, and IGMP version
IGMP Member Port Table Assigns a port/trunk that is attached to hosts who want to receive a specific multicast service, displaying current static and dynamic members
Multicast Router Settings Displays or sets a ports/trunks on the switch that are attached to a neighboring multicast router/switch

Statistics Menu

Web Pages Description
Chart Compares selected statistic across all ports or trunks
Table Lists all statistics counters for a specific port or trunk
