Printing DIrectly to the Printer - for visitors

  • You can print directly to the printer via windows,mac or Linux - mainly useful for visitors

• LPR and CUPS Server: print.cs.uwaterloo.ca
• Queue: ljp_maple
• Driver: HP LaserJet P2055dn

Windows Users

• Change your print server to print.cs.uwaterloo.ca

Linux Users

• If you have a Linux installation setup by CSCF, you should be able to do the following:
  • lpstat -p
  • look for ljp_maple@...
  • if you see that then use: lpadmin -d ljp_maple@...
• if it doesn't, try the following:
  • check CSCF notes for Ubuntu Printing setup

• See CUPS section under section CupsOnLinux
  • ljp_maple is now exported from print.cs so once you follow these notes it will be installed
