Mark would like to upgrade chaco (workstation here) and "rainylake" (it used to be called that, but it's at his home now) to something that isn't woody. He's interested in Ubuntu, so we'll do that. He's interested in maybe sharing his office printer out as well; he needs to be able to print to school printers too.

Mark and Nancy are gone the 16th to the 27th of May, so that's a good time for them as they intend to be out of touch anyway.

Nancy didn't get a new printer with her personal allowance (? forget what it's called) so we can close that request. She would like to resume trying to make her Officejet work - AlexRoman came close to getting it going last summer.

Nancy's Palm adapter w/ tablet works with IR in Win32 but not Linux - can we do this? Resolution changes in X work better now too. Works going from Tablet to desktop LCD, but it isn't easy going the other way.

Lab PC upgrades:

• banff - don't bother, Jianwei's defended her thesis
• minaki - arrange with Wens (will be doing 10 May 2005)

Might as well finish setting up public area PCs, it doesn't look like the wiring issues will be fixed. >:<

We can set up jasper with Ubuntu, xhier it, and tell mudge to give it its passwords. Then we can have the public PCs XDMCP to it in Linux, and use samba authentification for Windows. (The latter may not be easy.)

Nancy said to close RTs involving her potential printer purchase and the one still open from setting up bowen with Linux last year.
