Space - Planning for Change

Any work that

  • will change the appearance of any space or
  • is part of a School project that involves alterations to space or
  • has costs that may be above or not in the current fiscal year budget
must be approved by the Space Committee. Any on-going project that becomes inactive or is put on hold must be discussed with the Space committee before work begins, to confirm that the requestor has an updated version of the plan. The space committee often must adjust timelines or priorities of projects due to outside forces such as changes to financial forecasts, availability of outside forces, availability of equipment, impact on other School initiatives or changes to personnel.

In practice, this means that Plant Ops requests start in Sher's mailbox.
