Say you installed
FreeBSD before you installed Windows... then Windows blew away your
FreeBSD bootloader (of course). Now what?
You can:
- boot your original install disk
- go to the partition editor
- (S) set the first partition bootable
- (W) write the changes
- (Q) quit - tell it you're sure you want to do that
- tell it to install the bootloader into the MBR
and Robert should be your father's brother.
