Remote Reboot of Neoware Eon 4000 and E100 Terminals

  • Logon to the Eon Management Terminal Server and Start the Eon Remote Management Software.
    • From an X-terminal type the following to connect to the Eon Management terminal server.
      rdesktop -g 1024x768 najas
    • Logon as an Administrator. It does not matter if it is domain or local administrator.
    • Start up the Eon EZ Remote Manager programme through the following path off the Start Button:
      Start > Programs > CSCF Thin Client Terminal Management > Neoware Eon Terminals > Neoware EZRemote Manager for Eons 3.0 > ezremote Manager 3.0 EE
  • Open the Eon Terminal Database.
    • From the top menu select File : Open
      • Navigate to: Local Disk (C:)\software\eon_ezremote_man\data\mfcf_neoware_eon_terms.rms
      • You will be prompted for a password, simply click on OK as the file is not password protected.
    • From the top menu select Settings : Password
    • Enter the CSCF Thin Client Master Password and click on OK.
  • Reboot the Eon Terminals.
    • Select the terminal(s) that are to be rebooted in the EZ Remote Manager.
    • Right click on your selection and choose Reboot from the popup menu.
    • Click Update All
    • Click Close.
