Printing Via a Web Browser

Using Mozilla on Solaris Unix Platform

The instructions are specific to Unix Solaris platform. To check what version of mozilla you are running type which mozilla|absolute.

Mozilla-1.7.12

If you want to print a particular webpage you should first click on File and choose Print at which point you'll be offered choice of two method, namely print to a Printer, namely Postscript/default or to a file. It's recommended you print to a file at which point you can use the lpr command to print it (you may want to use the Print Preview prior to choosing to Print). If you choose to print to Postcript/default you should click on Properties. This causes a little window to pop up that gives you the option of choosing papersize (the default of US letter should not be changed unless you know the printer can handle a different size) and secondly you are given the Print Command which will run lpr. You may wish to edit this using the instructions in UsingLprCommand. Unfortunately the changes you make here will not be preserved the next time you print, hence the recommendation to print to a file rather than to a printer.
