Wireless Internet is provided in the room as eduroam

  • For best wireless performance in this room we recommend that you disable and then enable your wireless once you set up here.
    • This will cause your wireless to connect to the nearest access point
    • (This is very important if you were previously connected nearby but not in this room)

Audio with Wireless MIC

  • If you are using a wireless MIC please adjust the volume settings to the desired value BEFORE any other device such as a laptop
    • Using the volume buttons on the Projector Control Box adjust to the desired volume

Audio and Laptop use

  • If you are going to use a wireless MIC please read the Audio Wireless MIC section above.
    • On your laptop set the correct audio output device HDMI or Headphone
      • If using Headphone attach to the audio cable that is part of the VGA extension cable.
    • On your laptop adjust the volume settings to a compatible volume level for the MIC
  • If you are not using the wireless MIC
    • IMPORTANT On your laptop set the correct audio output device HDMI or Headphone
    • Adjust your laptop audio level to %50
    • Using the volume buttons on the Projector Control Box adjust to the desired volume

DC1302 Using the Projector Control Box

  1. ) Press “System ON” button.
    • After the screen turns on it will display the Christie logo with blue background
  2. ) Select HDMI or VGA video source to match your laptop’s video connection.
    1. a) Attach the corresponding HDMI or VGA cable to your computer - see Audio Laptop above if using audio.
      • The VGA cable also has a separate mini stereo audio jack for sound.
      • The HDMI cable has audio built in.
    2. b) IMPORTANT set your laptop video settings to external display as extended or mirrored based on your preferences.
  3. ) Laptop Audio Settings and Wireless MIC
    1. a) If you are using a wireless MIC, please adjust the volume buttons on the Projector Control Box to the desired volume BEFORE adjusting the laptop volume.
    2. b) Use your sound settings on your laptop adjust the volume of the desired audio device HDMI or Headphone.
      • See Audio Laptop use above.
  4. ) Press “System OFF” button when finished.

DC1304 Using the Projector Control Box

  1. Turn on Data Projector by pressing the ON button located down on the front wall left hand side.
  2. Turn on Laptop and then connect to VGA Video Cable.
    • If you require HDMI, you can ask for an adapter at ICR.
  3. Audio
    • The Video Cable has a separate Audio Cable attached to it.
      • See Laptop notes above
    • After you are done with sound, please unplug the Audio Cable from the wall.
  4. Turn off Data Projector when finished by pressing the OFF button located on the front wall.

DC1304 Wired Internet ports - authenticated

  • At this time there are 3 “wired” Internet ports up at the back of the room as you come in.
  • They are marked E46, E47 and E48. See Using wired authenticated network connections in ICR presentations rooms below.
    • These are authenticated ports that require WATIAM authentication via a web browser
      • If you do not have a WATIAM userid you can get guest accounts from ICR.
      • To authenticate just open any off campus web site in a browser and you will be redirected to the authentication page.
  • If you need “wired” Internet during the presentation, please come and get the Internet cable from ICR in DC 1330.

Using wired authenticated network connections in ICR presentations rooms

  • Network connections with vlan 438 and 430 listed in the tables below provide wired authentication via WATIAM
    • Open a web browser to any external web page and you will be redirected to the authentication login page.

  • There are wired jacks in each presentation room that can be used for direct connections.
    • See section DHCP Network connections with WATIAM Authentication - below.
  • Access control on this network is based on WATIAM Authentication
    • Note - all staff, faculty and students have a WATIAM userid
    • ICR also has guest WATIAM userid and passwords for visitors
    • Open a web browser to any external web page and you will be redirected to the authentication login page.
