If you choose Ubuntu, GRUB 2 is initiated (located/installed onto , with Ubuntu choices.
1. Apply image using Acronis
2. Format/wipe hard disk beofre applying image (can be done using Acronis Disk Tools), unless just putting back a single partition)
3. Boot to Windows 7
4. Since sysprep is having issues with 'specializing', you will need to go through the initial Set-Up Windows where country, language, etc. needs to be done.
5. When getting to the user name, password & machine name: * create any user & password for user, you will delete this account after set-up has been completed and you've logged into system as cscf-adm. * machine name should be proper name as per host name/ip# on machine label. * before joining the domain, make sure machine is created in AD and that its in the Windows 7 OU container. Default and desktop folder redirection are the only GPO's applied in that container. * Join the domain, allow two reboots and approx. 12 minutes for all GPO's to finish loading in.
Bugs/problems
from magore - SSH Client license was not updated in the image \Program File\SSH Communications Security\SSH SecureShell\license.dat (Just need to get license2.dat from asimov - rename it to license.dat and replace the one above)
from magore - Remote Desktop not enabled for anyone (this might be a policy setting - Clayton?)
from snickers - smb printing not working
from rgarcia - AD setup script not working correctly, need rewrite
