- The open firmware password has to be set when ever a new machine is set up in the Lab. This password prohibits the use of boot CD or other device from starting up the machine.
- The software is located in Application/Utilities and is called Open Firmware Password
- Launch the software and check the box Require password to change Open Firmware settings
- Set the Open Firmware Password for the lab and secure with appropriate admin password.
