If a user is unable to launch Firefox or Thunderbird on the lab Macs, then under the user's account:
  • go to the Library folder (i.e. /u//Library/)
  • rm -r "Application Support"/Mozilla "Application Support"/Firefox
  • go to the Preferences folder
  • rm ._org.mozilla.firefox.plist org.mozilla.firefox.plist

This should create a pristine environment for Mozilla applications. The user should be patient the first time Firefox launches, as it is doing a lot of initialization.
