Local Debian Mirror

We are running a nightly rsync from ftp.de.debian.org.

We currently mirror the archives debian, debian-non-US and debian-security for each distribution of woody (old stable), sarge (stable), etch (testing) and sid (permanantly unstable).

The mirror is only available via ftp on hosts whose IP begins with 129.97..

APT configuration

For Sarge (old-stable): use the following lines in /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb ftp://mirror.cscf/debian-security/  sarge/updates main contrib non-free

deb ftp://mirror.cscf/debian/ sarge main non-free contrib
deb-src ftp://mirror.cscf/debian/ sarge main non-free contrib
deb ftp://mirror.cscf/debian-non-US sarge/non-US main contrib non-free
deb-src ftp://mirror.cscf/debian-non-US sarge/non-US main contrib non-free

If you are still using Woody (the old Stable), consider upgrading to Sarge. For a Woody version of the above file, just replace "sarge" with "woody". Woody no longer has security updates available for it. Run Sarge only. sarge updates will cease as of approximately April 2008.
