---++ Diversity Of Platform Support

Unlike Engineering's NEXUS domain, CSCF's AD domains authenticate not just Windows Workstations (like XP and Vista) but also Macintosh workstations, Linux and Solaris systems. To my knowledge, we are the only organization that manages all four platforms through a single authentication source. 

NEXUS as it is currently configured and managed cannot authenticate Macintosh terminals and likely cannot authenticate Linux or Solaris. This largely due to the fact that needed SRV records for the NEXUS domain are not entered into the campus DNS space. See ADDnsConfiguration
