---++ Sending Mail as if From a Role Based Account

We sometimes want to be able to send mail from our mail client as if it's from a role-based address,
without having to have a separate mailbox for it.
E.g. 
gs4t@uwaterloo.ca is a "friendly" address for wics@uwaterloo.ca,
with the goal being able to send mail as if it was sent by gs4t@uwaterloo.ca.

---+++ Mac Mail

Steps that have been seen to work with Mac Mail follow.
It uses the above example.
The font style distinguishes between *selections* and _typed data_.

       Full Name: _GIRLsmarts4tech_

   It will say that the account must be manually configured.
<br> *Next*

   Mail Server: _connect.uwaterloo.ca_
<br> User Name: _nexus\Your Userid_
<br> Password: _Your Password_
<br> *Next*

   the defaults look ok

   SMTP Server: _connect.uwaterloo.ca_
<br> User Name: _nexus\Your Userid_
<br> Password: _Your Password_
<br> *Create*
