Windows

• Boot Windows
• Login cscf-op or cscf-adm - 2016 passwords

Change system name

• Right click on This PC from file explorer or desktop icon
  • properties -> Advanced system settings -> Computer Name -> Change -> enter the name the machine will be called, (ie. rsg-pc123)
• will need to reboot to have it take effect

fix drivers

• • properties -> device manager
    • Right Click on any yellow caution ! entries -> Update drivers -> Search Automatically

Add the user as an Administrator

Linux

update video driver

• You might need to install a video driver but that is unlikely
• If you have a 750-TI or newer try the nvidia-352 - but only if the display is not working
  • apt-get install nvidia-352

Change host name

• sudo bash
• gedit /etc/hostname
• gedit /etc/hosts
• hostname rsg-pcxxx - where rsg-pcxxx is whatever host name you want to use
  • Note the host name will not change in the terminal windows until you log out/in again
