OFIS Notes from 23 Sep 2009
Beth making list(s) of specific info profs do need to do CEAB and other reports?
Marlon: course-critique data integrity issues, missing prof user ID. Geoff McBoyle is following up on standardizing course-critiques; Marlon will follow up with Beth.
Automating course critiques: engr uses SAS program, would need to be changed to automate. Similarly with Math/perl script.
Marlon: new section for professional designations.. moving Service section into prof. designations.
Teaching evaluations: ceab: needs course titles. Marlon requested titles from IST/Quest; no update.
Data-errors: what happens on back-end? Marlon gets emails, forwards to correct person(s) in Ofc Rch / Grad Studies.
- why can't we automate this better? Beth will ask George Dickson or Brenda .. about fixing specific data; who's the right contacts for sure?
OCGS funding broken by categories: how do we match the title of a grant to a category? NCERC, Discovery, other, leave-alone.
- Daniel will bring in OCGS reports for next week.
- Marlon/Beth are going to talk to Wayne O. about existing formats.
Tamir reporting on parsing bibtex.
Formatting of Contributions:
- noted that OCGS is supposed to be common-format; profs don't care about format of bibliography within OCGS.
- noted there aren't any known areas where a prof needs multiple formats.
- will need extra fields for pub. year, type, [...]
- probably we can switch to integrated format.
- Discussing display and data-entry.

- Daniel and Tamir are going to give svn and pdo demos tomorrow
Upcoming Tasks
