Olga: how can we generate department webpages- ECC wants access to their faculty-members' last 3 (or n) publications. broke down 3 options: 1) ofis hosts data; 2) secure-copy to their server when they update publications 3) allow dept secure access to those columns of sql data. 4) "wait for drupal" - are there plans for faculty webpages in drupal? barring that, is OFIS responsible for the look and feel? do different profs want different look and feel?... drupal waiting for all departments being ready, so at least 1 yr.

OFIS doesn't know what the departments want; we can offer choices but choose to not prematurely optimize. Olga will follow up with the one requesting department (not asking all departments what they want, yet). Probably offer: we output HTML for publications, which the dept can include via php on their end. Olga thinks this is useful. Vu will do this for man-sci as a guinea-pig.

Jack: converting to php5.3: 3 deprecated functions, converted code, pushed to repo. also converting usage of constants code-wide.

Discussion of schemes for holding the repositories. next week: Daniel will demo hg for the project; and will email notes in advance.
