OFIS Notes from 11 Mar 2009
Met from 11am-12:30.
- Following direction from Peter van Beek last week, we discussed his
CS Research Directory profile and how that information differs from Engineering's generated reports.
- opinion from OFIS-coders: generating research directory profiles should be "easy" in a technical sense.
- Discussed CS data-output formats. Probably latex and HTML to start; .doc?
- Discussed data stored and how Daniel will access project's source-code.
- Ongoing discussion with OFIS project workers (Jack, Vu, Marlon) on current development area: admin interface for staff with differing roles.
Upcoming tasks:
- Daniel will meet with Vu Huynh (CPH 4318) on Friday morning to tour the source-code.
- Samba, auth by nexus. smb://ofis.uwaterloo.ca/ofis .
- /phpmyadmin access
- /git - though they aren't actively using source-control yet.
- Daniel will investigate how simplest to obtain CS "date joined" data.
- Dean's office? directly from the existing Research Directory profiles? CSCF/Bill?
- Daniel will investigate CS format for publication citations: is it a different format than Eng's?
