Accessing the Azure Web Store
To access the webstore an activated Office 365 subscription is required. To activate your O365 visit
https://o365activation.uwaterloo.ca/. Activation may require up to two hours. (Unfortunately, if you access this site it says that the certificate has expired 220 days ago).
Once O365 is activated visit
https://aka.ms/devtoolsforteaching.
Select the "Sign In" button, not the "Free Account" button. Enter your
username@uwaterloo.ca. This will redirect to the University of Waterloo sign-in page.
At the UW sign-in page the
username@uwaterloo.ca login with the
WatIAM password is required.
Using the Web Store
The software is available for educational support, research, teaching, or demonstration purposes only. Commercial development using any of the software is prohibited.
Azure Marketplace offers are not available.
The web store starts at the "Education - Quick Start" page. Of interest to most will be the "Software" link.
The Software link will provide a list of all Microsoft software available to the Math Faculty.
Some software will provide the user with a license code. The codes are private and unique to each user. Users must keep their license key private!
Some of the FAQ information on the web store do not apply to the Math Faculty subscription. For instance:
- students do not have a $100 credit as advertised in the "Student FAQ"
- a Microsoft Exam voucher is not available for free.
