Managing Linux User Accounts
An initial foray into figuring out how Linux user accounts and perhaps other stuff like printing can be managed by using network based directory services like openldap.

at Linux.com, written in September 2005 which using Debian for the examples. Someone follows up and mentions a web tool to manage LDAP called Gosa, see LDAP Server Administration with GOsa an article at ONLamp.com. In this article, two additional ldap management tools are mentioned, phpLDAPadmin and web2ldap - WWW gateway to LDAP server.
