IST Announcements of Campus Wide Changes
IST says: Campus wide changes will be communicated through the IST communications officer as well as through the Network Alert tool, as was the case with the wireless upgrade over the summer. These notices are sent to mailing lists including:- cnsc@lists.uwaterloo.ca
- ctsc@lists.uwaterloo.ca
- tg-networks@cscf.cs.uwaterloo.ca (CSCF)
- cscfhelp@uwaterloo.ca (CSCF)
- dcithelpdesk@uwaterloo.ca (DC Help Desk)
- mfcfhelp@uwaterloo.ca (MFCF)
Smaller network changes are communicated through the Network Alert tool, and sometimes manually with related support staff.
The network alert tool is just a web form that IST fills out with network change details.
It automatically emails a long list of campus addresses like the above.
