Adding Guoxiang and Lori to the attendees for this (Sept 28) planning meeting, which will focus on the DFS/Owncloud project. Meeting goal is a project progress checkpoint, and an opportunity to discuss any questions that have arisen.

• Brief (15-20 minutes) status report from Lori and/or Guoxiang
• Q&A/discussion

One issue Ken would like to address is how the file storage available via Owncloud will relate to the other file services we currently provide to faculty, staff, and grads.

Discussion topics:

• Balance of task assignments withing the project.
• Overview of system architecture
• Progress on DFS hardware.
• Remaining hardware and tasks for successful completion: 40GbE ring, service container hosts, haproxy
• kmsalem questions on usage of FSS for maintaining/syncing eg. web site configurations on linux.cs. This would require cmd line FSS client/FUSE-dav mount and persistence outside of user session.
