O asking CEPH team to compile/"regularly re-interpret" a prioritized list of RTs they need assistance with and to actively raise it in relevant venues, such as CSLWG.
From a performance/user perspective: issues occur intermittently and are hard to reproduce. So to easily describe causes from a "user" perspective is non-trivial.
The communication issues that are embedded in this discussion highlight a lack of "ticket curation". A serious effort is needed along with consistent "local" clean- up/re-prioritization effort within a team.
RT hygiene/tools maybe a good topic for the upcoming CSCF lunch and staff meeting: Thursday, Feb 16, 12:00-13:30 in DC1304.
There are users that are asking what is going on and whether any work is going on to fix things and when performance will improve. Please advise users that if they feel strongly about an issue and that they think CSCF can help, to contact "CSCF Management" cscfmgm@uwaterloo.ca. Can this be a topic at the upcoming CSCF meeting ? If everyone involved on this topic can spend a few minutes summarizing/discussing things this may help synthesize a "roadmap" that can possibly be broadcast more generally (e.g. emails, MOTD).
Information in this area is meant for use by CSCF staff and is not official documentation, but anybody who is interested is welcome to use it if they find it useful.
