Old business: server reboots

Schedule for restarting machines between terms. (All) CSCF systems get updated and restarted third/fourth week of December/April/August - whether they need it or not?
  • Generally agreed this was a good goal
  • nfish: m3-205 is next highest system uptime; looking to reboot
  • ldpaniak: daire.cs container to be moved to dc-201

kernel live patching (Ksplice) service

Is the live patching (Ksplice) doing anything for us? - are troubles troubles documented?

  • ldpaniak: Is ksplice behind server stability issues?
  • nfish: Unlikely as ksplice only affects running kernels in memory. Does not change on-disk kernel so will not affect system boot

MC power outage(s) on 2021-01-28
