- Crossover: Christopher C. says he's seen problems with it, version 4.2. Daniel hasn't installed on cscf machines, but it works for him at home.
- Linux image: MikeP is trying standard linux image on newest HW, which may work. If not, we'll need a second linux image. (we're already adding a second windows image for new HW.)

- ubuntu doesn't support 4200's Serial Attached Scsi (SAS) with Breezy Badger kernel
- but- latest (dec '05) kernel may be fixed, so Daniel could make a live CD with it to try. Otherwise, the new Ubuntu in April may have the kernel.

- what window managers is Patrick working on for solaris?
- the old standards (twm, tvtwm). plus, blackbox. problems with gnome.
- so maybe we should add tvtwm and blackbox
- speaking of compatibility: Patrick suggests versioning x11env for linux- which he did template for already - I can build a new package that is based on that one, but works in CS?
- kde/gnome directories pre-existing for users; are graphicslab/nortellab classes 4th yr honours classes?...
