Recent Events

Had problems with 20.04 HWE kernel not having CEPH related patch. (File bug with Conical about linux-image-generic-hwe-20.04 using "apport-cli") - ask Anthony.

Issues in the last week seem to be more client side than server side. (Load has been very light.) Rebooting the teaching general-use servers cleaned up the issues we where having since last meeting.

Snapshots

Pending snaptrims almost complete. No performance issues seen since client system reboot. Any cluster issues unlikely to do with snapshots/trims.

Group agrees that it is OK to rename the three snapshots of the environment home directories that we want to keep for awhile. - Guoxiang

Kernel 5.11

Want to get back to latest ceph client drivers,ie the hwe-20.04 kernel. Ask Anthony to file Ubuntu bug report "apport-cli linux-image-generic-hwe-20.04"
