Patching Append bug

Ceph append bug has a patch. How do we get it on our systems today?

Suggested plan:

• nfish investigates whether available kernel (deb) binaries have the patch eg. Ubuntu mainline: https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/?C=N;O=D

Maybe a 5.13/14 kernel has what we need? Note to stable maintainers: This is needed in v5.10.z - v5.12.z. In v5.13, we've moved to using the new netfs_read_helper code so this isn't necessary there

• gxshen works on building custom kernel with patch
• a2brenna has deployment to test server by 15:00
• ldpaniak and fhgunn test
• Verified solution ready for installation on login servers by 17:00
