Equipment

The School of Computer Science has the following equipment for use in videoing presentations or events:
  • tripod
  • laptop connectors
  • carrying cases
  • video camera
  • wireless mic, transmitter, and receiver
  • battery chargers
  • memory cards
  • headphones

Procedure

Recording of talks requires these 3 steps:
  • setup - retrieve equipment from DC2560G, make sure equipment is functional, batteries are charged, the wireless mic is operational, the projector is operational, and podium laptop connectors in place.
  • recording - make sure both the presentation and speaker are visible in the recording and at the start of the talk press the record button. When the talk has finished, press the record button again on the video camera to stop recording.
  • teardown - retrieve wireless mic and connectors from the podium and turn off the projector. Retrieve the memory card from the video camera. Power off the video camera and wireless mic receiver and transmitter. Pack everything up and return to your office. Charge the rechargeable batteries (video camera and the wireless microphone receiver and transmitter). Once batteries are charged return the equipment to DC2560G and give the memory card to the administrative staff member in charge of uploading the video.
