Week 12 To-Do’s
Compose your demo video
Spend some time improving/refining your high-fidelity prototype based on the feedback from the heuristic evaluation and cognitive walkthrough. Create a video demonstrating your final product (i.e., high-fidelity prototype). You should have supporting comments in the video to explain what is being shown. You can also include any other aspects of work you have done, if you would like to and if the time on the video allows you (for example, your paper prototype to show the progression of the design). More details are available on the Information page under Deliverable 3b.
Write your final report
Each team must write an online final report in a format of a blog post (e.g., on Medium) that document your entire exploration. This is a polished and integrated article based upon your mid-term report, design document, and your evaluation of the prototypes, where you have addressed all the feedback from your critique team, TAs, and/or the instructor. You can include the demo video and images from your design process. More details are available on the Information page under Deliverable 3c.
Write your research proposal (CS649)
Students who enroll in CS649 must write a research proposal, in addition to other deliverables. The research proposal should at least contain the following sections: Introduction, Related Work, System Description, and Study Design. More details are available on the Information page under Research Proposal.
Complete Team Peer Evaluation
Each student needs to fill in the Team Peer Evaluation form, which will be used to learn how the teamwork was operated from each member’s perspective. The responses may be used for adjusting individual marks based on the final team marks. Details and links are available on the Information page under Deliverable 1b.
