Mounts failing for mysterious reasons ...
If the time on smb-files is not in sync with file server and possibly other networked services, mounting will fail (see ST#100599).
Command line mounting on Windows machines
This is useful to see error messages during mounting process that are invisible using GUI.
net use v: \\smb-files.student.cs.uwaterloo.ca\course /user:cs-teaching\userid
