About me

I am a PhD student in the Data Systems Group at University of Waterloo working under the supervision of Charles Clarke. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Southern Federal University in Rostov-on-Don, Russia.

Research Interests

My current research interests include automatic complex question answering and human-to-computer conversation analysis. In particular, I am tackling the problem of conversational search for open ended information needs. I am exploring existing solutions (Siri, Cortana, Google Allo), learning about their drawbacks for cases of complex information seeking, and trying to fix them.
