filelock — Return the date in a format that conforms to RFC 822.

Synopsis

filelock {filename}

Description

This is a wrapper for the MFCF flock, which actually supports a wider range of operations. The reason this command exists is that this name unfortunately clashes with a Linux command with a very different interface and which is not available on Solaris. So, this centralized wrapper tries to make sure we're getting a standardized version of the utility.
