Founded in 2007 by a former exchange student as a means for socialising for visiting students. Global Cafe was quickly recognized by the Engineering faculty and received support for hosting events and "get-togethers" for the exchange students of UW. From these roots Global Cafe is slowly becoming a peer-run organisation reforming every semester for the new arrivals of Exchange Students.
As of Sept 2009, Global Cafe has finally received recognition under the International Student Connection. We are a service provided under this club, focussing on exchange students. With your help we hope to have a great line up of events for present exchangers, as well as the ones to come!
