Here are a list of end of term tutor tasks
(Feel free to add as appropriate)
Anyone:
- move previous terms' final exams to MUO (if not already done)
- after the final exam period is over, clean out hand-back boxes outside MC 4065 & distribute to tutors for the courses
- empty hand-in boxes outside MC 4065 & distribute to tutors for the courses (check all boxes for all courses)
- empty CS display cases outside MC 4065 and return materials to appropriate courses
Every Course:
- office cleanup, ready for new term; remove personal items
- office supplies ready for next term (stapler, tape, red pens, blue pens, white board markers and erasers
- ISG Twiki updates: corrections or additions to existing information; filling in missing information (check with your ISC if you have questions). NOTE: this should be on-going throughout the term
- course account archiving and cleanup (see ISC for directions)
- make sure all tutorials, labs, help sessions, etc. are documented on the course account with added instructor notes, solutions, problems to watch for, lessons learned/discovered during delivery, etc.
- any hand-written lists of marks and marking schemes and added notes not already recorded electronically go to ISC
- in a box labelled with the course number and "for shredding" after one month into the next term (put shredding date):
- unclaimed assignments (if previously announced to students that unclaimed assignments would be destroyed after the end of term)
- unclaimed midterms (see note above about previously announcing to students)
- unclaimed projects (if previous announcement made to students)
- in a box for immediate shredding (notify Simone when finished compiling this box and Simone will prepare the box for shredding and call Plant Ops to remove the box):
- extra (duplicate) marking schemes (see a previous point),
- unlabelled exams,
- class photo lists and other confidential papers or papers containing confidential information such as names and IDs
- course account setup for next term (includes courses not offered in the current term but offered in the following term) (see ISC)
- proofing and submission and testing setup for first assignment(s) for your course for next term (see ISC)
- current term's exams out of bins and folders & into boxes with handmade dividers; bins & folders returned to DC 3116
- sort exam folders in DC 3116 into proper order
- check with your ISC for other tasks
Everyone:
- clean up your student.cs account (quota that was added while you are tutoring will be reduced to normal at the end of the term)
