"A Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." — Laozi
I am a passionate computer science researcher who started as a technology enthusiast undergraduate and went through a long journey with multiple track records in different fields — both in industry and academia — and still believe "I have miles to go, before I sleep."
Along this journey, I have acquired diverse experiences ranging from Computing & IT (Software Development, Networking) to Telecommunications (Network Operations, Quality, Automation) and then Business (Process, Six Sigma, Management), and finally Data Science (Databases, AI, and Machine Learning).
I like to take new challenges and embark on new ventures so I can acquire new knowledge and, by integrating them with previous insights, deploy them for better results. In the organizations I've worked with, I always encouraged innovative ideas and inspired problem-solving effectively — increasing my confidence to learn, teach, and build a stronger next generation.
At the University of Waterloo (Data Systems Group), my research falls broadly under AI — specifically at the cross-section of Knowledge Representation and Databases. I am supervised by Dr. Grant Weddell and Dr. David Toman.
My research sits at the intersection of AI and data management, exploring formal foundations with practical impact.

"I believe that teaching is not just the transfer of knowledge — it is the ignition of curiosity. Every student I mentor represents a unique perspective, and my role is to help them integrate new knowledge with their existing experience to discover their own path."
With over a decade of industry experience across computing, telecommunications, and business before returning to academia, I bring real-world context to theoretical concepts — helping students see why what they learn matters beyond the classroom.
Open to research collaborations, speaking invitations, and academic discussions.
I am always happy to discuss research ideas, potential collaborations, or industry partnerships. Whether you are a fellow researcher, a student looking for mentorship, or a recruiter — feel free to reach out.
