- [Average] I love the workload for this course - please don't change it
Note: This is a complete list of comments I received, listed alphabetically to avoid bias.
The most important thing I learned in this course was: |
- Asking questions
- coding can be fun
- Excel
- Excel + HTML/CSS
- Excel, HTML, and CSS
- How to look for a good PC via its specs, basic terminologies for computers, and how/what binary is/works
- how to make HTML and basics of computers/digital world
- html
- HTML and CSS, Excel, how a computer works, etc..
- html, how to make a website, very interesting
- I learned HTML and CSS.
- Introduction to computer languages such as HTML, CSS and even JAVASCRIPT!
- Learning about HTML and reinforcing Excel skills.
- practice,
- <strong>How to style a webpage</strong>
- The HTML and CSS
- Using excel techniques and formulas
What helped me to learn in this course was: |
- A combination of quizzes and assignments to test by knowledge and ability to apply concepts.
- assignments
- course instructions.
They were very detailed and it was easy to follow.
- Every week's reading
- Examples; complete clarity of explanations of everything; assignments (application); having those "late days" so that during busy times, I have that extra time to ensure my grades aren't affected (seriously it's so blessed please keep it - more courses should have this)
- google
- Office hours
- Reading
- The assignments, especially the ones that had a Part C.
- the class materials
- The late day forgiveness as I had vacations and out of town family coming. Also the way the instructor creatively explained everything!
- The module videos/readings
- The modules are really helpful.
- The videos, written modules, and assignments. The instructors were also wonderful. The ISAs as well. This course is a great course. Thank you
- The “Part C” Assignments
- Watching all lecture videos
- weekly modules and quizzes
What changes, if any, would I suggest for this course? |
- Clearer statement on the assignment question
- have a midterm, cuz I feel like that can prepare me better and motivate me to learn more.
- have more step by step video to show how to write CSS
- have more videos that explain the coding and assignments in detail
- HTML and CSS modules should have more clear step by step instructions, modules were vague for those weeks and then expected us to do an assignment mainly on our own. Assignments were also marked oddly, found i lost marks frequently when I did what was asked
- I woud suggest that the YouTube videos made for the lectures can be put into full screen. I wasn't able to put it into full screen the entire time.
- I wouldn't change it.
- Maybe incorporate live lectures
- none
- None, this course was well designed and intriguing.
- Nothing I loved it :D
- Probably have Dave, or the professor have an office hour where he goes through a tutorial if hands on stuff.
- Quicker response time for questions asked on the “discussions” tab. I don’t expect responses within a day or anything, just before the deadline.
- The course load is high for a 100s course
I strongly suggest TAs should mark the assignment easy. They took marks off of all the missing $ and incorrect cell names, etc, repeatedly. We are not in high school anymore. This really makes my life miserable.
- The weighting of the final exam to be less. A 50% weighted exam is too much. Overall, the course is not bad.
