Research Areas

My group works on trustworthy machine learning, data privacy, security, and related topics. I am especially interested in data poisoning, machine unlearning, and building robust and ethical AI systems. I am also keenly interested in the areas of AI policy, auditing, and governance.

Who Should Apply?

My home department is the School of Engineering Design and Teaching Innovation at the University of Ottawa, and I conduct interdisciplinary research at the intersection of computer science, engineering, policy, and society. I welcome applications from students with backgrounds in computer science, engineering, mathematics, as well as those from social science or law. If you are passionate about research and eager to learn, I encourage you to reach out!
