Directions
UW is located in the twin cities of Kitchener-Waterloo in southwestern
Ontario, about 90 minutes' drive west of Toronto or 3 hours east of
Windsor-Detroit.
- From Highway 401, take Exit 278 (from Toronto) or Exit 278B (from
London) to Highway 8 West, Kitchener.
- From Buffalo and Niagara Falls, follow Queen Elizabeth Way in the
"Toronto" direction to Highway 403 West (1 hour); follow Highway 403
West to Highway 6 North to Highway 401 West to exit 278 (45 minutes).
- Follow Highway 8 West to Highway 7 East (an expressway called the
Conestoga Parkway). Be sure to take the exit for Highway 7 East, not
Highway 7 West.
- Keep left. Do not exit on Highway 7 East (Victoria Street and Guelph).
Expressway becomes Highway 85 North.
- Exit at University Avenue West and drive about 3 km until you reach the
entrance to the University of Waterloo at University Avenue and Seagram
Drive. Major streets you will cross as you drive along University
Avenue are: Weber Street, King Street, and Albert Street.
(Wilfred Laurier University is on your left between King and Albert
Streets.)
- Turn right into the University.
