I love video games, and I hope they love me back
I have always been a huge fan of games of all kinds. From video games to board games, they have served as a safe point for me throughout my life. My favorite video game of all time is Resident Evil 4, and my favorite board game of all time is Unmatched. If you agree with any of these choices, shoot me a message, we can be great friends!
Movies
I am a huge movie fan, and my favorite directors of all time are Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, and Damien Chazelle in no particular order. Although I deeply appreciate movies that aim for a complex narrative about an important philosophical question, sometimes I prefer movies that are just fun. For example, a movie like Top Gun: Maverick knows what it is, it’s a fun 2-hour wonderland of action and thrill, and does not try to push a deep message somewhere in the movie by force. Knowing this context, I will say that my top 3 movies of all time are:
- Django Unchained
- La La Land
- Goodfellas
Music
Everyone likes music. There are no surprises here. However, I enjoy a weird collection of music that I have yet to understand fully. I mostly listen to Rap, 80’s Metal, Classic Persian, and EDM music. My favorite English-speaking rapper is Kendrick Lamar, and my favorite Persian-speaking rapper is Bahram. My favorite 80’s Metal band is the mother of Metal, Black Sabbath. Additionally, my favorite classic Persian singers are Hayedeh and Habib, although I enjoy many of the LA Persian singers as well. Finally, my favorite EDM artist is Robin Schulz.
Moreover, I play the guitar. I left my beloved guitar back home in Iran, but I can’t wait to get back to playing.
Sports
I have tested most common sports out there, but to this day, nothing tops the rush I felt when I played Water Polo when I was a teenager. It remains my favorite sport to play, but my favorite sport to watch is Football (not American Football). I will never forget the rush of the World Cup final of 2022!
