Sheldrick runs six eco-lodges at three locations, which allow visitors access to the reintegration units. We were paying primarily for that access, so the luxury of the accommodations was a bonus. It was lunchtime when we arrived, and the staff (which outnumbered us) came out to welcome us. A third vehicle had brought our food supplies, which were cooked by the resident chef.
